Once a day we distribute food to the villagers and twice a week at the local village market. This is done parallel to our food distribution project in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, where we distribute food to the poor twice a day (more info about our partner project: www.premprasad.org)
The food distributed is mainly “kittchary”, a rich blend of rice and vegetables traditional in Indian cuisine. The food is made from rice, lentils and vegetables from the fields and cooked in a natural way on an open clay-firewood oven.
We serve a total of approx. 150 portions of food a day. In addition to that, every Sunday we invite children and their families for a festive meal and social activities.
